Duties

Help
  • Apply extensive knowledge of security, intelligence, and counterintelligence in the development, planning, and execution of signature management, OPSEC, and other security measures to achieve command goals and objectives.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and maintain signature management plans and annexes IAW DoD Directives and higher headquarters (HQ) policies.
  • Responsible for the oversight, accountability, and management of plans, annexes, associated accountable property, signature methods, and appropriated funding in support of operations.
  • Provide technical guidance, analysis, and recommendations to operational activities, planners, and commanders.
  • Conduct mission analysis to identify current and emerging capability gaps related to signature management processes and mitigation measures.
  • Use critical thinking methodologies and technical understanding of security, operations, and intelligence principles to develop capability requirements.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Periodically may be required to work overtime or irregular hours during periods of crisis.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance based on a single scope background investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for access to sensitive compartmented information (SCI) and special access programs.
  • Must pass the organization's Personnel Reliability Program which includes credit check, drug screening, polygraph and psychological evaluation.
  • Incumbent must sign a statement attesting to the understanding of DCIPS provisions.
  • Travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
  • Must be willing and able to participate in organization activities and training CON US and OCONUS.

Army DCIPS positions apply Veteran's Preference to preference eligible candidates as defined by Section 2108 of Title 5 U.S.C., in accordance with the procedures provided in DoD Instruction 1400.25, Volume 2005, DCIPS Employment and Placement.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience to the next lower grade (GG/GS-12). Specialized experience is defined as experience:
  1. Developing, coordinating, and implementing Intelligence / Counterintelligence of Signature Management and support.
  2. Experience building and maintaining professional partnerships within the Intelligence Community.
  3. Experience advising on techniques and innovative methods employed in future operational environment and threat analysis and projection.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GG/GS-12).

Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.

Education
