Coordinate, conduct and direct the onsite inspection of proposed oil and gas activities in areas involving highly complex environmental and political issues.
Receive and process geophysical Notices of Intent and energy related rights-of-way in accordance with regulations. Receive and process applications for recreation and monitor compliance for recreation and wilderness.
Conduct and/or attend meetings with oil and gas/mining operators to keep the District Office informed and resolve any surface use issues.
Promote internal and external communication and coordination, including local interest groups, individuals, users, the general public, State and local government, and other Federal personnel.
Prepare and direct preparation of environmental documents. Coordinate with specialists from other resources to protect the environment.
