This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number T5619000 and is part of the LOGISTICS, National Guard.

As a Logistics Management Specialist, GS-0346-11, you will maintain oversight of daily, weekly, monthly, and long term system requirements, ARNG Readiness Center equipment modifications, and requirements to meet current workload demands. Budgets for subsistence operations and subsistence requirements, including operational ration ceilings. Assesses use of facilities and equipment, to ensure expeditious accomplishment of priority work without adverse impact on normal, recurring work.
Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position within 1 year of appointment.
Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
May require travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
The work may require the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle; if so, and an appropriate valid driver's license is mandatory.
May be required to wear special protective clothing such as coats, boots, vests, gas masks, and/or helmets and may be exposed to high levels of noise such as aircraft engines.
This position may be designated mission essential based on local conditions. Mission essential personnel report for duty at normal times when the unit is closed or delayed reporting, and remain on duty during phased or early release.
Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training identifying activities involving logistical support operations. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions. Experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to elicit their cooperation to perform specific tasks, and complying with regulations, laws, or practices.
