Duties

Help

Regularly utilizes office information systems to format and prepare correspondence, update and maintain database file and tracking systems, complete travel documents,maintain logbooks, and provide support to clinical and educator staff regarding workshops and briefings.

The incumbent must be able to instantly assess and respond appropriately and conscientiously to crisis situations and able to make knowledgeable and accurate judgment in providing hands-on assistance or additional self-help resources. Assists in facilitation and delivery of FFSC programs and services within the scope of responsibilities. Irregular working hours may be required to include early shift, late shift, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate possess the following:

Strong typing skills desired.
  • Must have strong organizational skills, knowledge and ability to use office equipment and personal computer and possess and demonstrated proficiency in a variety of software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, and spreadsheets.
  • Working knowledge with the Defense Travel System (DTS), Fleet & Family Support Management Information System (FFSMIS), and providing administrative support of social services at a military installation desired.
  • Knowledge of business and military correspondence.
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures in a social services setting to include record keeping, defense travel systems, general knowledge of the Privacy Act and rules governing disclosure of information, management of office facilities, resources, and materials.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing in English.
  • Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background Investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.

Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.

Some positions have special requirements. Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period.
