The following are the duties of this position at the GS-14. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position. - Assist the development, design, implementation, and evaluation of national data extraction applications providing assistance to TIGTA staff.
- Coordinate enhancements for data extraction and delivery of electronic files to the off-the-shelf software formats utilized on TIGTA's computer equipment located throughout the country.
- Provide expert technical advice, guidance and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues.
-Recommend to management that significantly influence important IT policies or programs throughout TIGTA.
- Support the Information Security Program to protect taxpayer data.

Specialized Experience For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Conducting the following information technology tasks: extracting, formatting and analyzing data; AND
- Utilization and programming of IT language Mainframe programs (e.g. JCL, Assembly, Assembler) for reading data, preparing reports, etc
In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving.
Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13level for 52 weeks.
