Functions as a Data Analyst / Scientist for Operations Unit of the CHIPS Program Office (CPO), which will track the overall operational and strategic portfolios of the organization, utilizing data analytics and visualizations to surface trends / issues / insights, and collaborate with the program teams across the CPO to track overall success of the program and processes in meeting financial, strategic, and policy goals.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
Degree: Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position.
or
Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience.
In addition to the basic requirements, applicants must also have 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-9 (ZP-II at NIST) level. Specialized Experience is defined as experience analyzing major datasets / databases, working with R / STATA / Python or other statistical coding languages, and working with complex financial datasets (as well as unstructured data). Applicants should have facility with Excel and Access, as well as data visualization tools (e.g,. PowerBI / Tableau).

3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

A combination of graduate education and specialized experience as defined in the additional requirements
