Duties

Help

  • Strategic Enrollment Management. Ensures the effectiveness of the university's registration process, including the maintenance of related student records, course scheduling, transcripts, student services, and maintenance of records and correspondence related to academic progress and academic standing. Regularly interact with faculty and senior administrators; work collaboratively across all levels such as admissions, academic advising, and course updates and modifications.
  • Management Coordination. Creates a positive and high-performing team, ensuring effective management of resources, promoting employee growth, and achieving organizational objectives in the field of enrollment management and institutional effectiveness/analytics. Set performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to team members, ensuring accountability and promoting continuous improvement. Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring equitable distribution of workloads and efficient utilization of resources. Assist in the development and management of budget, ensuring optimal utilization of resources while adhering to guidelines.
  • Collaboration and Communication. Build strong professional relationships with colleagues, faculty, and academic leadership, focusing on serving as a resource, advocate, and spokesperson for developing educational support services. This includes designing, developing, and delivering training, briefings, and presentations to both internal and external stakeholders. The responsibility also includes conducting research as needed and overseeing the day-to-day activities, which involve drafting policies, processes, procedures, and guidance that contribute to advancing the university's mission.

Qualifications

  • Skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness in academic programs.
  • Knowledge of institutional and specialized accreditation compliance and best practices.
  • The ability to interpret higher level policy and integrate requirements.
  • The ability to deal with sensitive issues in a professional manner.
  • The ability to communicate and interact with general officers, senior executive civilians, college presidents, accreditation representatives, and corporate CEOs.
It is highly desired that Applicants possess:
  • Three years of progressively responsible management/supervisory experience in the registrar/enrollment management office in a college setting.
  • Knowledge of student information systems.
  • Knowledge of military organizations, operations and culture.

Education

An earned master's degree from an accredited postsecondary institution.

Additional information

This position is subject to Air University's tenure and promotion policy, this position is tenure-track eligible. The position will be an initial three-year appointment with a one-year probationary period, with the potential for continued reappointment for additional 1-5 year terms.
