Summary

You will serve as a Supervisor Program Manager at the GG-14 grade level responsible for all phases of the work of the Office of Naval Intelligence, Technology and Innovation Directorate, Information Management Division in managing of the data science innovation, advanced analytics, and Command Research Center functions of the Division located in Suitland, Maryland. You will report directly to the Division Director, ONI N63, as the Deputy Assistant Director.

Duties

Help
  • You will promote the adoption of data science innovation and advanced analytics across the enterprise.
  • You will manage automation, augmentation, and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) projects and team.
  • You will understand data science best practices and incorporate into analytic tradecraft.
  • You will advise, present and defend decisions and information effectively within the intelligence, planning and operational communities.
  • You will communicate and coordinate items of interest pertaining to data science innovation, advanced analytics, and the Command Research Center and potential adverse impact to the Directorate level.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field A-Program Management Level 01. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
  • This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
  • This position may be subject to polygraph examination.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector such as:

1. Build and sustain professional networks across organizational boundaries in order to negotiate and influence competing priorities and responsibilities for very complex, advanced objectives.
2. Manage and oversee a variety of intelligence programs that include the development, execution and evaluation of programs and policies pertaining to the command, control, operations and management maritime analysis and production.
3. Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through deputy supervisor, and team leads.
