Duties

Help
  • Works under the supervision of the activity manager who makes specific assignments, explains polices and procedures, and reviews work for quantity and quality of completed projects.
  • Maintains schedules for maintenance and/or repair of physical facility. Manages data and prepares, tracks, and adjusts work orders for maintenance which cannot be completed by self-help.
  • Conducts surveillance of total facility and reports any unusual findings to supervisor. May be required to monitor interior and exterior areas of building and grounds to determine if repairs are needed.
  • Opens/closes facility by locking/unlocking doors and windows, and assuring security system is operable. Prepares, maintains, and monitors requirement lists and inventories for supplies and equipment in the facilities.
  • May assist in moving or arranging furniture and equipment, and perform minimal housekeeping tasks. May be required to drive a vehicle. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.

  • Incumbent may also required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.

Qualifications

1.Demonstrated ability to perform the duties described above.
2. Experience in performing basic facility maintenance and minor repairs.
3. Must have and retain a valid driver's license.
4. Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
