Duties

Help
  • You will assist warehouse leads with warehouse administrative functions, inventories, establishing work methods, and warehouse operations.
  • You will provide Operating Materials and Supplies (OM and S) onsite support.
  • You will develop program metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of program operations.
  • You will monitor warehouse automated systems to improve their functionality in support of operations.
  • You will utilize a wide range of approaches, principles and practices associated with material support programs.
  • You will demonstrate experience with OM and S processes, Navy warehousing, material management, and supply support policies and procedures.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
  • Must be willing and able to undergo a physical medical exam to verify ability to duties of this position efficiently without hazard to yourself or others and determine physical suitability to perform the duties of this position.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Must be able to obtain a Forklift/MHE license and/or certification within 90 days of appointment and maintain thereafter every five years until age 60 and annually thereafter.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Must be physically agile and able to perform tiring tasks to include climbing, stooping, bending, standing, or walking for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to assume awkward on uncomfortable positions; lift and carry office items, materials, and supplies weighing up to 70 pounds; and with assistance carry heavier items.
  • Work requires normal dexterity in using hand and foot controls in fork lifts, trucks, pallet jacks, and hand trucks and must have normal visual acuity and hearing acuity.
  • Employee may be required to return to the duty station outside the scheduled hours of work under ?call back? procedures.
  • You may be exposed to moderate risks and discomforts such as noice, fumes, heat, cold, chemicals, rain, wind, or snow.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications

FOR THE GS-09

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing and assisting warehouse management operations and performing supply administrative functions to ensure accountability of an organization's assets.

Examples of qualifying experience may include: Assisting the Warehouse On-Site Lead with OM&S program management; performing warehouse management/administrative functions; conducting daily warehouse inventory management operations; establishing warehouse management methods, procedures, and business practices to organize and locate assets; assuring and reporting on visibility and accountability of assets and compliance with governing policy; and executing day to day warehouse operations.

FOR THE GS-07

Your resume must demonstrate at least specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing supply administrative and inventory functions to ensure accountability of an organization's assets.

Examples of qualifying experience may include: Conducting daily warehouse inventory operations; establishing warehouse methods, procedures, and business practices to organize and locate assets; assuring and reporting on visibility and accountability of assets and compliance with governing policy; and executing day to day warehouse operations.
