Duties

As a Supervisory IT Program Manager/Director of Enterprise Services, you will be involved in managing several diverse programs, including Enterprise Architecture, Portfolio Management, and TIGTA's Service Desk. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, directing and managing the full range of Division functions with an emphasis on providing the right technology vision, strategy and roadmap to enable TIGTA's business.

As a Supervisory IT Program Manager, you will:

  • Oversee and manage short- and long-range priorities, including budget planning and aligning strategic direction with Administration priorities.
  • Delegate responsibility to plan, schedule, and complete major IT plans, projects, and programs exercising discretion in determining whether to broaden or narrow the scope of the efforts.
  • Conduct operational analysis; prepares budget estimates with justification and assists in their defense; makes recommendations that are most likely to yield the high impact and high visibility results required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve or otherwise make extensive modifications and upgrades to existing enterprise-level systems, supporting business processes taking into account changing requirements and interfaces, advances in technology, and evolving standards.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:

* Oversight of program-level initiatives including budget and policy formulation. AND
* Managing projects in the conception, design and development of integrated computer hardware and software information systems. AND
* Providing advice and recommendations to resolve integration issues related to the implementation of new systems.


In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving.

Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14level for 52 weeks.

Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT (CONTINUED):
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required.
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation for a secret clearance.
  • Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
  • You will be required to regularly report to the Duty Station listed above. While teleworking is an option, approval is at management's discretion based on duties, business needs, performance, etc.
  • Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
