Help
  • Gives advice and counsels employees on both work and administrative matters.
  • Assists the Division Director with leave requests, work schedules, and training requests.
  • Assists the Division Director with candidate interviews, make recommendations for details, promotions, or reassignments.
  • Ensures the principles of quality management are assimilated into the Division?s work by analyzing and identifying work barriers and developing ways to reduce them, promoting team building, and improving work processes.
  • Collaborates with the Division Director to assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.

In order to qualify for the GS-14 , you must meet the following: Have at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government to include: 1) Developing technical specifications and project plans for the procurement of Information Technology (IT) equipment and support resources; 2) Leading teams in the implementation of technical projects in order to maintain the modernization of an IT system; and 3) Serving as a technical lead to ensure teams compliance with the implementation of an IT projects plans, policies, or procedures.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
