Duties

Help

Provide advisory to support and executive staff on topics such as medical standards, deployment processing.
Compile data to produce reports for leadership.
Ensure local policy and procedure are in line with Air Force and Department of Defense guidelines.
Perform quality review of documents such as physical examinations and profiles.
Serve as a liaison between unit personnel and health care personnel.
Perform quality review on Medical Evaluation Board documents and/or files.
Analyze member medical records and request additional information when necessary.
Participate in special projects and/or research for the medical group.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes maintaining an automated database; respond to routine and non-technical requests for information; reviewing medical records to ensure complete and/or no information is missing; develop and/or maintain a database of information. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

OR

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration.

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Education
