Duties

Help
  • You will provide general administrative and analytical guidance and assistance on organization operations, programs, services, policies, and procedures to management officials, faculty, staff, and students.
  • You will coordinate administrative and analytical support for administrative and non-professional academic areas of the department.
  • You will review reports, plans, and schedules to determine support requirements and recommend activity plans that identify actions, responsibilities, and schedules that must be met.
  • You will present reports, study results, or recommendations to management officials to resolve program problems.
  • You will assist in developing administrative policies and procedures for the office.
  • You will collect data and prepare statistical reports as required.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Preparing budget information, estimates and reports including travel, training and equipment needs; monitoring and maintaining informational databases; performing routing Billing Official functions for Government Purchase Cards; preparing integrated operation and research financial reports; and tracking all contract actions, bulk purchase agreements, honorariums, gifts, and other income expenses as assigned.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

  • Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR
  • Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree; OR
  • Successful completion of an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled; OR
  • A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
