Summary

About the Position: Serves as a Program Analyst for the Talent Acquisition Division, (ACCMA), Civilian Human Resources Agency (CHRA). In this capacity, the employee researches, manages, plans, analyzes, reviews, coordinates and integrates all actions necessary to inject sound strategies into the ACCMA decision-making process for the Division Chief and the associated business processes to ACCMA.

Duties

Help
  • Provides complex regulatory and policy interpretations in the context of broad, high-level policy mandates such as strategic objectives, campaign plans, and recruitment and outreach mission priorities.
  • Prepares analyses for ultimate use by other staff and policy-level officials and prepares and presents briefings to ACCMA leadership, other senior leaders, and working groups.
  • Identifies and defines problems, develops alternative courses of action, and accomplishes a variety of high-level liaison, advisory, and consultant duties internal and external to ACCMA personnel.
  • Develops and executes statistical models and reports to conduct overall program evaluation and effectiveness.
  • Attends conferences, meetings, working groups and professional seminars concerning solutions of specific program issues.
  • Establishes and maintains contacts with other recognized experts in connection with furthering Army career management transformation and process improvement technology in order to exchange information, obtain additional views, and coordinate efforts.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: conducting outreach strategies to engage and educate internal and external entities or businesses such as other government agencies, colleges and universities, and career events/expos about recruitment programs and agency goals; creating statistical models and reports to conduct overall program evaluation and effectiveness; and conducting briefings and presentations for various audiences.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Additional information

  • Salary range posted is for Fort Belvoir, VA and includes applicable locality pay. Salary will be adjusted accordingly based on selected duty location.
  • 100% Telework/Remote Work Possible (location negotiable at time of selection) but management has a preferred location and employee will be expected to report to official worksite if within commuting distance of the preferred location.
    Fort Belvoir, VA is the established duty location for this position and is the preferred duty location. An alternate duty location MAY be negotiated at the time of selection, and the position may be eligible for telework/remote work. However, if employees are within the commuting area of the established/preferred duty location, it will be expected that the employee reports to the official work site vs. teleworking.
