Summary

About the Position: The mission of Devens Reserve Forces Training Area is to provide training facilities and training support to all military services, reserve and active. It is a small base, and is located approximately 50 miles northwest of Boston, Massachusetts, in a small, rural community. They offer many of the Soldiers' services found at larger bases including: Army Community Services (ACS), Fitness Center, the Federal Credit Union, and much more.

Duties

Help
  • Perform as a Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) with responsibility for representing the Contracting Officer in verifying/assuring total provisions, conditions and specifications of laundry and dry cleaning contract.
  • Evaluate services provided by Contractor by comparing them with established criteria (contract provisions and/or military regulations) and prepares checklists and reports reflecting findings.
  • Provide overall assistance and guidance to all customers in accordance with US Army Reserve Command, US Army Forces Command, and Department of Army regulations.
  • Extract data/information from records and prepare and submit recurring and special reports, such as a Contract Management Review, to immediate supervisor.
  • Maintain quality assurance files and records in accordance with established procedures.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves: 1) applying surveillance techniques for evaluating contractor's performance in accordance with contract specifications; and 2) compiling quality data to prepare reports on contractor performance, violations, and deficiencies noted during surveillance.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Education
