The Agency will tailor each intern's experience to the interests and skills of the student against the needs of Agency Program Offices. The selected candidates will serve as a Student Volunteer (Intern), working remotely in one of the Region 5 Divisions and will gain training and development in the following areas:
You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position.

You must maintain enrollment in an educational program.
You must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or above.
Must be at 16 years old.

Student means an individual who has been accepted for enrollment or enrolled and seeking a degree (diploma, certificate, etc.) in a qualifying educational institution, on a full or half-time basis (as defined by the institution in which the student is enrolled).
At the time of appointment, applicant must:
Be at least 16 years of age.
Be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited institution.
Attend an accredited educational institution, including but not limited to; high school, trade school, technical or vocational institute, junior college, college, university, or graduate school.
Have permission from the institution at which he/she is currently enrolled to participate in the internship program.
Must be enrolled on a, at least, half-time basis in a course of study related to the work to be performed.
Qualifications
The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

You MUST submit unofficial academic transcripts demonstrating that you meet the eligibility requirements. If you do not submit sufficient academic documentation necessary to demonstrate that you meet the eligibility requirements described in this announcement, your application will be deemed incomplete, and you will be ineligible.
Education
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications. Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Must be enrolled at least part-time at an accredited academic institution.
Applicants must also be in good academic standing as defined by their accredited educational institution.
