Duties

Help
  • You will serve as the primary intelligence focal point at the Norfolk Field Office (FO) and the senior advisor on intelligence matters across the operational spectrum to the Special Agent in Charge (SAC).
  • You will ensure effective integration of intelligence support, collection, and analysis across the FO operational spectrum in concert with SAC priorities, including the review and validation of all requests for intelligence support within the FO.
  • You will manage the NCIS intelligence enterprise program at the FO, which includes but is not limited to budget, training, and personnel matters.
  • You will ensure that all FO intelligence support is properly documented and reviewed for quality assurance, and related intelligence production is properly coordinated.
  • You will provide analytic review of FO operation/investigation proposals, FO target nominations, and provide analytic compliance with asset validation
  • You will validate and submit FO intelligence support requirements (to include requests for additional support) to NCIS Headquarters (via EADLANT SIO).
  • You will serve as focal point within the FO AOR as well as across the Directorate of Intelligence and Information Sharing (DIIS).
  • You will maintain liaison with applicable regional Department of Defense, DON, Intelligence Community, law enforcement, EAD, and NCISHQ intelligence counterparts.
  • You will be responsible for sharing related information applicable to the global intelligence enterprise with DIIS counterparts.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Analyzing and evaluating counterintelligence, counterterrorism, and/or criminal intelligence or investigative matters.

Additional information
