This position is located at Office of the Inspector General for Tax Admin,Office of Audit- Deputy Inspector General for Audits. As an Information Technology Specialist (DATAMGT), you will be responsible for extracting, transforming, and loading data into, and managing databases in, the Data Center Warehouse (DCW), which is in turn used by auditors, evaluators, and investigators to accomplish TIGTA's mission.
Summary

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-14. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
Advise leadership on emerging DCW technologies and strategies, e.g., efficient and cost-effective methods for storing datasets, methods for backing up and restoring data, etc.
Coordinate enhancements for data warehousing and delivery of electronic files to the off-the-shelf software formats utilized on TIGTA's computer equipment located throughout the country.
Participate in enterprise-wide data analytics and risk identification efforts.
Develop long-range plans for IT security systems that anticipate, identify, evaluate, mitigate, and minimize risks associated with IT systems vulnerabilities.
Monitor storage space for critical file systems and performs capacity planning to address growth in items like storage, memory, and Central Processing Unit (CPU) utilization. Creates and administers user, groups, roles, security schemes, and security profiles.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
