Duties

Help
  • Creates and communicates digital product strategies.
  • Identifies and resolves highly complex problems that cross organizational boundaries and promulgates solutions.
  • Leads the development of Service Blueprints (i.e., product roadmaps), detailed business process maps, and the scope of product releases.
  • Serves as a SME panel member in Product Management and Digital Services for OCIO hiring and technical evaluation for procurements.
  • Participates in OCIO IT governance bodies to provide advisement and support cultural change for IT team to becoming a 21st Century technology organization.

Qualifications

Basic Requirement for the Information Technology Specialist, GS-2210 occupation: You must have Information Technology (IT) related experience demonstrating each of the following competencies:

1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail;

2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services;

3) Oral Communication - Expresses information to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information; makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately; and

4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations .Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

AND

For the GS 14: You must have 1) Developing an IT product strategy and roadmap utilizing Agile techniques such as Product Backlog stories, Technical stories, Spikes, Continuous Testing, Continuous Integration, and Automated Testing; 2) Analyzing existing practices to make recommendations on improvements, new workflows, or revised business data models; AND 3) Managing client expectations throughout the product development while ensuring deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each product release. (Note: Your resume must fully support this experience and you must list hours worked per week to receive credit.)
