  • TTS is seeking to fill one (1) PERMANENT appointment(s) at the GS-15 grade level.
  • This is a virtual/remote position.
  • Duty station will be determined upon selection.

You must perform the following major duties:

Information Technology, Technologies & Operations, Cybersecurity:

  • Implements and provides authoritative advice and guidance to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of cloud technologies on a broad, complex spectrum impacting various government and industry (Cloud Service Providers) entities.
  • Oversees cloud systems security evaluations, audits, and reviews.
  • Manages the migration of infrastructure platforms to virtual, public, and private cloud environments.
  • Keeps abreast of stakeholder needs from diverse communities, emerging technologies, cybersecurity advancements, applicable information technology policies and directives (NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, etc.) and stakeholders.

Program Management, Partnership Development, and Related Activities:

  • Administers the government contracts that provides for the technical operations of the FedRAMP program.
  • Implements initiatives and work functions to grow adoption of FedRAMP authorized products towards secure cloud software adoption across federal agencies.
  • Plans, directs and coordinates strategies and initiatives to engage the public and government in dialogs, idea generation, innovative challenges, and other collaborative activities.
  • Directs the Division’s activities with the public and private sector to grow the use of secure cloud technologies in use by government agencies.

Supervisory:

  • Supervises a staff and provide authoritative advice, guidance and expertise in securely building and managing cloud products and services.
  • Supervises teams working on cybersecurity or cloud technology products.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Represents an organization or product and ensures building alignment with a complex network of internal and external stakeholders, customers and partners.
  • Creates and maintains partnerships with government agencies, organizations, media, technology/digital industry, and other influencers and thought leaders to support the portfolio’s goals and objectives.

  • Serve a one-year supervisory or managerial probationary period, if required.
  • Participate in the Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP), which includes attending meetings and planning activities; and carrying out mission-critical work at a designated location other than your primary work site (which may be outside of your commuting area).

The GS-15 salary range starts at $136,908 per year.

IT Specialist Competency Requirements:

  • Attention to Detail - This skill is generally demonstrated by assignments where the applicant investigates and evaluates “state of the art” technology of the industry.
  • Customer Service - This skill is generally demonstrated by assignments where the applicant confers with users to evaluate the effectiveness of, or identify the need for, computer programs or management systems.
  • Oral Communication - This skill is generally demonstrated by assignments where the applicant persuades others to take a particular course of action or to accept findings, recommendations, changes, or alternative viewpoints.
  • Problem Solving - This skill is generally demonstrated by assignments where the applicant identifies and accommodates technology and resource constraints.

To qualify, you must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or higher in the federal service. Specialized experience for this role is defined as:

  • Leading the overall planning, management, oversight and direction of a highly complex digital program, product or business.
  • Supervising teams working on cybersecurity or cloud technology products.
  • Building alignment with a complex network of internal and external stakeholders, customers and partners.
  • Communicating complex security or technical materials to broad audiences.
  • Technical knowledge related to cloud technologies and cybersecurity principles.
  • Experience with industry or government accreditation or compliance programs and/or standards, such as International Standards Organization (ISO), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Security Operations Center (SOC), Payment Card Industry (PCI), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), or FedRAMP.
