Duties

Help

As a Management and Program Analyst, you will:

  • Develop new or modified work methods, organization structures, management processes, and procedures for maximizing operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Contribute management-oriented expertise to the Business Line Director in managing administrative functions and inspection activities, including management reports, training, equipment, workforce management, productivity measures, policy development and budget administration for assigned Business Line.
  • Analyze and recommend more efficient, effective, and economical ways to meet workload and program goals.
  • Evaluate proposals for major program requirements in areas of responsibility and recommends priorities to encourage optimal use of staff and equipment resources.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

-Applying analytical techniques for assessing the effectiveness or efficiency of program operations or work processes; AND
-Consolidating information from multiple sources into completed written documents; AND
-Utilizing communication skills to establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders; conducting training; AND
-Presenting and implementing recommendations to high level management in order to resolve an issue and/or overcome a challenge.

In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12level for 52 weeks.

Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a nontemporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
