As a INTEGRATED PRIMARY PREVENTION OFFICER (PREV WF), GS-0101-13-01, you will:

  • Formulate and implement appropriate control procedures and use various program audits to ensure IPP programs throughout their state, territory or DC are being implemented consistent with prescribing guidance, and that all resources are utilized as efficiently as possible.
  • Monitor and advise on activities of subordinate IPP programs.
  • Identify, research, and advise JFHQ leadership on issues impacting the outcomes defined within applicable policies and other official guidance.
  • Select or recommend selection of candidates for vacancies, promotions, details, and reassignments in consideration of skills and qualifications, mission requirements, and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and diversity objectives.
  • Apply mastery level knowledge, provides recommendations, which have state-wide, and potentially national, impact in addressing self-directed harm and prohibited abuse or harm.
  • Discharge security responsibilities by ensuring education and compliance with security directives for employees with access to classified or sensitive material.
  • Ensure TAG's IPP program complies with all legal and regulatory requirements. Develop IPP plan(s) in coordination with all relevant offices (i.e., Family Programs, Resilience, SARC, Psychological Health, EO/EEO).
  • Work with the field to promote and link various military and non-military resources to improve access to a variety of support agencies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

General Experience:

Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. The applicant must have a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade.

Specialized Experience:

One-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience, education or training analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions; preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence; evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various social science resources. Must have knowledge of the organization and its mission and utilized the organizational staff procedures. Experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of social science program operations carried out by administrative or professional personnel, or substantive administrative support functions.

Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position that included at least 24 semester hours of course work in the behavioral or social sciences.

Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field that included at least 24 semester hours of course work in the behavioral or social sciences.

or

Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
