Duties

Help
  • Responsibilities include assisting with OCIO?s cloud utilization, coordinating input and execution of the modernization process for systems, applications, and data.
  • Creating and leveraging automation techniques to improve the efficiency of security tasks, including both administrative duties and incident detection and response.
  • Creating and documenting user stories (requirements) in Agency defined tool or platform.
  • Owns project with minimal oversight from inception to decommissioning and/or Operations and Maintenance.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements: You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed. Please respond Yes or No if you possess such experience.

2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

For the GS 12: You must have one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience that is at least equivalent in difficulty and complexity to work performed at the GS-11 grade level. Specialized experience for this position must include all of the following:
1) Hands-on technical support resource for all aspects of cloud and network security to ensure cloud migration, systems integration and interoperability, developing, implementing and maintain network configurations,
2) Develops and presents highly technical briefings to technical and non-technical senior leaders and stakeholders,
3) Participates in internal and external program/project management reviews,
4) Tracks project schedules, risks, and dependencies. Ensures communications are timely and bi-directional between internal and external key stakeholders.

Applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level.
