Duties

Help

As an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC), you will:

  • Analyze the access controls for automated systems and the methods of storing, copying, transmitting, and destroying data.
  • Coordinate the development and maintenance of IT security policy, plans, guidance, and training programs.
  • Plan and conduct quantitative and qualitative security risk analyses to determine the opportunity for an impact of destruction, disclosure or manipulation of protected data, and provide minimum standards for safeguarding information.
  • Manage the maintenance of TIGTA's Internet and Intranet monitoring systems and intrusion detection systems.
  • Participate in system development review boards as the security authority to ensure that security issues are adequately addressed.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:

-Identifying, documenting, implementing recommendations, or conducting reviews to ensure compliance with applicable laws, policies, procedures, operational directives, executive orders, etc

In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving.
