Duties

Help
  • You will design, tailor, document, test, and implement unique operating systems and utilities for all new and existing hardware systems.
  • You will be responsible for creating user manuals and maintaining catalogs of utility program specifications to perform maintenance when needed.
  • You will develop application initiatives, plans and schedules for installation upgrades.
  • You will ensure software performance adheres to conformance specifications and standards.
  • You will conduct research into software malfunctions to find discrepancies and create solutions.

  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 within 12 months of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following, knowledge of software necessary to create and implement operating systems applications used in the workplace. As well as demonstrating familiarity of Unix/Linux/Solaris and Oracle Fusion Middleware products. Examples of specialized experience include:

  1. Measuring the performance, capacity, availability, serviceability and recoverability of operating systems
  2. Consulting with cross-functional partners to determine resources necessary to accomplish the technological advancement of software systems
  3. Providing administration support with the application server which includes maintenance and deployment of baselines, new and upgraded software applications
  4. Ensuring the system is fully compliant with cybersecurity requirements and applying corrective actions to any findings and completing incident and systems status reports
  5. Performing full range of operating system administration duties
  6. Performing administration, maintenance and upgrades of cloud software and supporting infrastructure

The position involves performing administration, maintenance and upgrades of Oracle Fusion Middleware products (Oracle Middleware experience to include (Weblogic, Oracle Access Manager [OAM], Oracle Identity Manager [OIM], Oracle Internet Directory [OID], Oracle Unified Directory [OUD], Oracle Enterprise Manager [OEM], Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) etc) and supporting infrastructure

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
