Duties

Help

  • Assists in the operation of the Auto I lobby Shop.
  • Types of duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Sets up areas for scheduled activities: records attendance: schedules appointments: notifies Customer of schedule changes:
  • Arranges for equipment or tools. checking them out to customers. and checking them for condition upon their return:
  • Checks the established safety system of the facility, tools, and equipment; posts announcements of scheduled activities and answers inquiries about item, place, transportation or other matters related to activities scheduled:
  • Takes inventory of authorized recreation supplies and equipment; and helps with group activities which require more than one staff monitor, performing specifically assigned tasks.
  • Accepts payment for various services and uses fees and damages to, or loss of tools.
  • Checks and empties trash cans in the shop and car wash areas: replaces bags/liners:
  • Cleans inside of trash cans as needed.
  • Cleans car wash area to include clearing away all paper, litter and debris, i.e., sand, dirt, cigarette butts, mud, grass.
  • May assist in operating the wheel balance and wheel removing equipment and/or assist customers with proper operation of automotive lifts.
  • May assist in performing oil changes and tire rotations on government vehicles.
  • Assist in maintenance and upkeep of carwash to include, but not limited to: keeping soaps replenished, repairing and replacing nozzles, hoses, etc. and manually restarting carwash.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Qualifying Experience:

  • Practical knowledge of recreational activities. rules. and procedures.
  • Ability to safeguard and handle cash and skilled in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities are desirable; however, limited experience is required.
  • Familiarity with hand tools used in the maintenance and repair of' automobiles and the ability to perform minor repairs and servicing tools is desirable.
  • Requires frequent standing, stooping, bending, and arm movement.
  • Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete a physical examination.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
  • Employee must have a valid driver's license and have a good driving record .
  • Employee will be subject to driving a government vehicle.

Education
