Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
This position requires a mobility agreement IAW AR 690-950.
Must be able to obtain and maintain Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/ or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes supporting duties relating to the security process such as; assisting in reviewing requests for personnel security investigations; assisting in the safeguarding of classified or sensitive information; supporting the processing of classified contracts; conducting surveys and analyses of facilities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this position, you may qualify if your education meets the definition below:

A Bachelor's Degree that is closely related to the position. Closely Related constitutes a degree which has educated the student in pertinent, specific position-related subject matter allowing the student to develop knowledge and abilities directly applicable to the position being filled such as National Security Studies, Political Science, International Relations/Foreign Affairs, Geography, Security Management/Administrations, Criminal Justice, Psychology, History, or Law. (NOTE: Transcripts and certificates must be submitted with application).

OR

A Bachelor's Degree that is supplemented by at least 15 semester hours or 22 quarters hours that are closely related to the position. (NOTE: Transcripts must be submitted with application).

OR

A Bachelor's with Superior Academic Achievement as defined by OPM. (NOTE: Transcripts must be submitted with application).

OR

A Bachelor's Degree supplemented by graduation from the Military Intelligence Officer Basic Course (MIOBC) or the Military Intelligence Officer Advanced Course (MIOAC). (NOTE: Transcripts must be submitted with application).

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. Only degrees from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education are acceptable to meet positive education requirements or to substitute education for experience. This is a developmental position, which is being filled at the GG-07 level only with full performance level of GG-12.
