Help

This position provides administrative support to two groups within the Technical Service Center - Power Systems Analysis & Control and Hydropower Diagnostics & SCADA.

The duties of the position are listed below:

  • Time and attendance validation for 20+ group members prior to supervisor review;
  • Review of group member credit card statements for accuracy and correct documentation;
  • Assistance with employee travel reservations as well as review of travel authorizations and vouchers prior to supervisor review;
  • Scheduling and documentation of use of group vehicle;
  • Purchasing office supplies, equipment, software and training for group members;
  • Shipping of equipment to and from site for group members;
  • Formatting and editing of technical reports and documents.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements: In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the specialized work experience requirement - this information must be clearly supported in the resume.

To qualify at the GS-06 grade level, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-06 level in federal service having demonstrated experience of the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities as follows: Served as a personal assistant to a manager and independently managed technical and administrative services for the office; Edited and formatted formal reports, resolved problems, located information, and organized workflow within the office.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Selective Placement Factor: Applicantsmust be able to type 40 words per minute.
