The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Graduate Fellowship Program is a developmental program that combines a graduate education and a return to a position with NRC that utilizes the learning gained through graduate study. The program targets individuals who wish to gain highly specialized technical knowledge by undertaking research-intensive full-time graduate work in a discipline identified as meeting the NRC's current and future skill needs.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
You must be a permanent NRC employee to qualify for this program. You must meet the qualifications for this position by no later than 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement and before placement in the position.
This position also requires that any applicant that is chosen must complete the PhD program within three years and that there is a 9-year service commitment to the NRC. The pay will be based on the locality of the institution.

Education
This position is to pursue a PhD in medical physics (master's programs do not have the clinical aspects of the PhD programs). Please note that we require coursework to begin no later than the Spring 2024 semester.
