Duties

Help

This position is located with the Arizona Training Command at Camp Navajo Bellemont, Arizona. The incumbent is responsible for managing the housing at a major training area which includes such temporary quarters as barracks. BOQ's, BEQ's. and VIP housing as well as other troop buildings (e.g. administrative buildings, and dining facilities). The work requires supervision of warehouse workers, clerks, laborers, custodians, and maids. A substantive portion of the subordinates are supervised through the use of a subordinate supervisor.

  • Incumbent must possess and maintain a current state driver’s license.
  • Must be able to obtain a secret security clearance within 1 year of appointment.
  • Experience in Military Housing/Lodging/Billeting preferred.
  • Recruitment, Relocation, or Retention Incentive may be offered and is subject to availability of funds.
  • This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
  • May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience, education or training coordinating movement and accountability of equipment. Experience conducting audits and preparing reports. Experience which demonstrated the knowledge of basic principles, techniques, and methodology pertaining to the management planning, scheduling, coordinating and efficient use of Government-owned housing facilities. Experience managing and controlling budgets, materials, manpower needs, contracts, and other viable resources. Experience developing and implementing a variety of directives and instructions concerning the full range of billeting activities for application by residents and lower level housing personnel. Experience using automated systems to update, retrieve and anlyze data.

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies (knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics):

1. Skill to direct and review the assignment of troop buildings, furnishings, and equipment in the cantonment area in consideration of such factors as size of units, type of unit, serviceability and availability of building space and desire to maintain unit integrity while effecting maximum utilization of Space.

2. Skill to direct the billeting program for VIP housing and bachelor and transient-type quarters.

3. Ability to formulate tenant directives and instructions within the framework of installation housing requirements concerning assignments, terminations, inspections, maintenance, cleanliness, conservation of utilities, and other housing activities.

4. Knowledge to develop local instructions and directives concerning normal and priority assignment of quarters. maintenance and repair reporting procedures, non-availability of quarters procedures, and a variety of related facility requirements.

5. Ability to determine annual requirements and formulates budget estimate for operating supplies, maid service, laundry service, custodial services; personnel costs, etc.
