You will assist your team with the integration between the software applications and the relational databases (Oracle, Ms SQL, My SQL).
You will identify and implement enhancements to the existing DEVSECOPS pipeline automation to increase the velocity of software development.
You will communicate professionally in both oral and written skills, develop briefs and present them in team meetings, architecture conferences, working groups and project reviews with the DoD Interagency project managers and NIWC customers.
You will conduct technical research and provide reports based on customer requests and requirements, handle a range of requirements, work with other government and industry partners and senior management to define and implement technology solutions.
You will serve as a lead software developer utilizing Agile/SCRUM methodology and cyber security principles to lead a team of software developers and engineers in the development of a new software code baseline in a DEVSECOPS pipeline.
You will be responsible for leading the software development effort to produce a reliable, scalable, and secure mission critical application in a variety of languages (Java, JavaScript/JQuery. Python, C#, HTML) and development frameworks.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 621 level Advanced within 12 months of appointment.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or ND-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Software Developer responsible for designing and developing reliable, scalable, and secure mission critical applications and components.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Education
Education Requirements for ND-04:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
