Duties

Help

  • Serve as principal advisor to senior management on all phases of the administrative management of the Institute/Center (IC); and oversees the implementation of a variety of management services essential to the direction and operation of the IC.
  • Provide guidance and oversight for the procurement, acquisition program; and operational management.
  • Oversee monitoring the budget process to ensure the timely, appropriate, and efficient expenditure of funds against annual allotment; anticipate changes in funding levels; prepare proposals and justify current and increased expenditures.
  • Serve as principal advisor on all human resource management activities and ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee all administrative management matters associated with programs and operations; with responsibility for the analysis of organizational priorities and the development and implementation of administrative policies and procedures.
  • Participate in and oversee the planning sessions related to the following space, telecommunications, travel, and/or timekeeping and leave.

Qualifications

You qualify at the GS-15 level, if you meet one of the following qualification requirements:

You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: Partnering with senior-level officials (e.g., executives, directors) to design/implement administrative initiatives (e.g., space management, travel services, property accountability) that increase organizational efficiency; Supervising a team of employees (i.e., selecting, training, and monitoring work); Implementing HR programs and initiatives (e.g., specialty staffing, upward mobility, rotation programs); Developing, administering, and monitoring program budget to ensure compliance with policies, laws, and regulations; AND Analyzing workload trends/projections to determine organizational structure and workforce needs (e.g., recruitment, placement).

  • This position is eligible for local remote work, a position designation where onsite presence is required only on an irregular or infrequent basis, not to exceed two days or 16 hours every two weeks.
