The Technology Business Analyst provides general analytical support with guidance across the entire organization and learning and applying an understanding of key business processes, key business drivers, and the short and long-term direction of related technologies. The Technology Business Analyst deals with basic issues and questions throughout the development life-cycle utilizing business process, functional and technical expertise to achieve agreed to solutions. The Technology Business Analyst also leverages functional and technical knowledge from others to verify that business requirements and compliance requirements are verified via testing.

Duties

The Technology Business Analyst will serve as a functional analyst in supporting the implementation of Workday and Coupa cloud-based systems - specifically involved in application configuration, testing of integrations and reports, and end-to-end testing of business processes. Preferred candidates would be able to perform these activities in supporting the implementation of Workday's Finance, Adaptive Planning and Prism Analytics solutions. The TBA will also provide end-user support in a post go-live Production environment and implement system enhancements provided in the future releases and upgrades of the cloud systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides Workday subject matter functional expertise for day-to-day support and development activities including business process configuration, data upload (EIB), testing and troubleshooting support - specifically for Workday Finance, Adaptive Planning and Prism Analytics.
  • Develops and drives innovative and proactive change efforts for Finance process improvements, including enhancements to end user experience.
  • Liaises with Accounting, Procurement, Travel and Budgeting functions, vendors and external consultants.
  • Participates in deployment of new system functionality - document current processes and data requirements, identify gaps with Workday processes, recommend changes, define requirements, configure, test and validate changes.
  • Assists with bi-annual Workday releases, including analysis of impacts of new functionality, testing of integrations and reports, cross functional and downstream analysis.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • 2-5 years of Workday functional experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills including problem solving and troubleshooting capability.
  • Excellent collaborator and a team player.

Qualifications

In addition to the FR-25 requirements, the FR-26 requires 5 years or more years of relevant technical or business work experience. The FR-27, Senior Technology Business Analyst, requires technical and analytical ability along with oral and written communication skills typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline and 6 years of related experience or the equivalent combination of education and relative experience in the application functional arena. Experience with IT governance, such as ITIL, ISACA, or CMMI; certification is preferred. Develops and maintains professional consulting skills.

Education

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Mathematics or other related field or equivalent work experience. Typically requires 4 or more years of relevant technical or business work experience.
