This position is located at the Monterey Pines Golf Course at Naval Support Activities Monterey. The Beverage Cart Attendant is responsible for delivering the highest caliber of luxury service to golf guests in an upbeat, lively environment. Creates a professional atmosphere that is inviting for guests, promoting and enhancing the offerings of a wide range of quality beverages and other spirits, as well as menu items. This is job qualifies for our up to $1750 incentive bonus program.

Duties

Help

Customer Service work comprise 55% of incumbent's time and include but are not limited to:

  1. Offer guests the opportunity to obtain and enjoy food and beverage while in the process of playing golf or enjoying other events.
  2. Describes menu items to customer explaining various product combinations and options.
  3. Represent the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow through and response.
  4. Monitors consumption of guests and follows protocols to ensure a safe environment.
  5. Offer to dispose of trash and empties to assist the guests to maintain a consistent and clean environment.
  6. Assist in other ways such as directions to the restroom, club house, etc.
  7. Request and restock in a timely manner to ensure proper par levels that allow for consistent and quality service.
  8. Active participation in events, programs, meetings, and training.
Driving (Golf Cart) work duties comprise 40% of incumbent's time and include but are not limited to:
  1. Operates a golf cart motor vehicles (approximate weight up to 1,000 pounds) to transport and deliver alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, food and snacks to golf course customers.
  2. Loads and arranges food orders in vehicle so that it does not shift or fall.
  3. Obeys all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  4. performs and documents vehicle operator maintenance, such as checking fluid levels, air pressure in tires, cleaning and washing vehicles.
Server duties comprise 5% of incumbent's time and include but are not limited to:
  1. Sets up glasses, silverware, dishes, trays, napkins, condiments and menu items.
  2. Serves food and drinks to restaurant patrons.
  3. Clears and cleans the table and the immediate area and reset the table in preparation for the next guests.
  4. Performs other duties as required.

  • Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background Investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
  • Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Pass all applicable records and background checks.
  • You must go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9

  • Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National
  • Marijuana is a Schedule I drug under the Controlled Substances Act and therefore use of marijuana is illegal under Federal law regardless of State laws.

Qualifications

Ability to perform common arithmetic problems associated with receiving payment from customers, making change and preparing cash reports.- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.- Must have the ability to learn POS system.- Must have the ability to safely operate a motorized beverage golf cart and have good depth perception/vision.- Skill in organizing work assignments in a logical sequence in order to execute tasks quickly and accurately.- Ability to follow instructions well and comfortable working mostly outdoors.- Knowledge of proper golf etiquette.- Must be able to work long hours in various weather conditions.- Work well under pressure, coordinating multiple tasks at any given time.- Requires an approachable, engaging personality and the ability to relate and converse with all types of people- Customer service experience of at least one year preferred.

Education

Must be 21 years of age.
A high school diploma.
Valid driver's license to operate golf cart.
