U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
Duties are performed independently in accordance with accepted trade practices and guides.
Employee receives instructions from the supervisor or dispatcher as to the type of vehicle to be operated, destination, purpose, deadline, and work to be done.
Employee uses judgement to perform duties and resolve most problems that occur.
Operates a motor coach to transport large groups of people on trips where day and night driving are involved.
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Satisfactorily complete all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3 to include a Tier 1 background investigation and a physical examination.
This position has critical safety or security responsibilities and as such has been designated as a testing designated position (TDP).
An incumbent of a TDP is subject to a random drug test that occurs without suspicion that a particular individual is using illegal drugs.
Qualifications
Experience and training that equip the applicant with knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the duties of this position consistent with accepted practices of the trade.
Ability to use and maintain appropriate tools, equipment and applicable vehicles based on gross wight (32,000 pounds).
Ability to read, understand, and apply instruction and other materials related to the job.
Ability to do the work of the position under normal supervision.
Training/Education or Experience- Must include the following:
Skill in operating vehicles over a variety of roads and assessing traffic conditions and hazards.
Skill in using judgement to load and unload individuals or cargo/supplies, clearances, turning radius, safe braking distances, connect and disconnect air brakes and electrical lines as needed, etc.
Knowledge of vehicle safety regulations to determine when mechanical or operational problems indicate that vehicles are unsafe for operation.
Required to possess and maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
This experience must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position.
Skill and Knowledge:
Knowledge of height, weight, width, and length of vehicle in order to judge overhead and side clearances, turning radius and braking distance.
Skill to maneuver oversize vehicles safely in narrow and confined locations.
Skill to remain attentive and maintain a defensive attitude while making interstate drives at highway speeds.
Knowledge of safety rules and traffic regulations.
Knowledge of how to properly load, unload, and arrange cargo.
Skill in selecting the shortest and safest route.
Ability to recognize hazardous conditions.

This position is a Flexible (Flex) position and there are 0 guaranteed hours per week. Flex employees are not entitled to leave or benefits however, there is no upper limit to the number of hours a flexible employee may work (subject to overtime obligation and work scheduling requirements).
