Inspect real property assets in support of facilities utilization function and physical inventory validation.
Conduct visual inspections on all buildings and facilities on a continuing basis to compile data for daily maintenance and update of automated real property inventory.
Identify available space to accomplish troop mobilizations and troop exercises.
Inventory a wide variety of structures.
Perform unscheduled or urgent inspections for damage to buildings and/or installed property.
Provide on the spot decisions concerning damages, (i.e., whether due to negligence, carelessness, or due to non-fair wear and tear) and resolves differences of opinion.
Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer.
Work of incumbent requires considerable walking and climbing, exposure to heat, cold, paint and chemicals.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1; Assess Real Property assets for facility utilization, function, and physical inventory validation and identify deficiencies; 2. Assisting explaining and applying technical Real Property requirements to quality issues encountered in areas such as Real Property audits and assessments; and 3. Preparing facility inspection reports and coordinating the physical facility inspection schedule to recommend corrective actions for compliance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
