Help
  • DANCE (Ballet and Taps) instructor should be knowledgeable, energetic, fun and love the sport to share it with parents and children ages 12 mos. - 18 yrs. Enjoy being in the studio. Manage time to Set up, Teach, clean up and put away after classes.
  • Prepare lesson plan every practice with information and pre-prepared workouts for each Ballet and Tap class and level. Provide unlimited dance time. Should teach new skills appropriate to each age and ability and review previously learned skills.
  • Work to improve each Dancer, so they may reach their highest potential. Keep documentation of the progress of the dancers with assessment sheets. Communicate with parents and students in a professional and age-appropriate manner.
  • Check attendance at the beginning of every class. Release each student to parents by communicating progress. Check parent’s phone numbers and email addresses at the beginning of each month to ensure records are current.
  • Learn and grow with us by completing all training requirements. Understand the class schedule, be early for class start time. Provide great customer service to parents, students, potential students, coworkers, supervisors and directors

  • Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/physical/background requirements for this position.
  • Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations in accordance with current Army and DoD policy including annual influenza vaccinations.
  • A one year probationary period may be required (either initially or upon conversion, if applicable).
  • Successful completion of annual training requirements within the prescribed time frame and demonstrated on the job competence is required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) Check.
  • Complete and signed DA 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
  • Must be available to work between the hours of M-Thurs 1500-1900 and Saturday 0900-1200.

Qualifications

1. Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate.
2. Be able to communicate in English (both written and verbal).
3. Be 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
4. Possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, walk, bend, stoop and stand on a routine basis. Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors.
5. Possess and maintain health and freedom from communicable disease.
6. Demonstrated skill/evidence of competence in instructional area of dance.

Preferred are those candidates who possess a Professional Certificates/Credentials; or Associates Degree or higher with 15 semester hours of college credit in the area of instruction.

In addition to the qualifications listed above, application with the following experience will be considered highly preferred and may be sent first for consideration.

  • At least one year experience teaching ballet and tap dance to children 12 months to 18 years.
  • Possess relevant safety certification and concussion training.
  • Member of a professional dance group.
