Duties

Help
  • Operates a small full-service bar, mixing and serving the full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Records sales, makes change or prepares charge slips in accordance with operating procedures.
  • Keeps records of quantities of beverages dispensed and submits requirement for re-stocking to supervisor.
  • Keeps bar, utensils, equipment and work area clean and sanitary.
  • Receives and checks quantity and description of stock

  • Work schedule may be irregular. The incumbent may be required to work, nights, weekends, holidays and/or special events.
  • Must be physically able to regularly lift and carry items up to 20lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
  • Management reserves the right to reassign employees to other facilities.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • ability to mix drinks using alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.
  • ability to perform simple arithmetic to calculate bills and make change.
  • ability to recognize and handle intoxicated patrons.
  • ability to recognize shortages of supplies and replace them as necessary.
  • ability to monitor and direct the work of other bar staff.
  • meet state/local age (18) requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverages at time of appointment (projected appointment date: 04/23/2023).
  • ability to list and carry weights up to 40 pounds.

Allowances, Incentives, and PCS Costs:
  • Allowances, differentials, or incentives will not be paid.
    • A Federal Wage System (NA, NL, NS position) employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5 percent for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work falls between the hours of 1500 and 2400 AND a night shift differential of 10 percent of the scheduled rate if most non-overtime work hours occur between 2300 and 0800.
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
