Duties

Help

As a Deputy Executive Officer, you will:

  • Serve as a principal advisor to the CIT Executive Officer (EO).
  • Provide leadership, direction, and policy guidance to all aspects of management.
  • Manage, direct, coordinate, and oversee the work of subordinate staff.
  • Evaluate management and administrative information and concepts affecting the overall mission of CIT.
  • Plan, develop, formulate, and administer the policies and procedures governing the activities of CIT's administrative and management programs including budget and acquisitions.
  • Advise the EO on the impact and implications of administrative issues on major programs and policy formulation.
  • Ensure that CIT maintains an effective ethics program, workforce development and analysis program, and staffing and recruitment program.

Qualifications

You qualify at the GS-15 level, if you meet one of the following qualification requirements:

You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: developing, implementing, delivering, and evaluating administrative management programs for an organization; managing human, financial, and contracting/acquisition resources; providing guidance on laws, regulations, and policies governing administrative management programs; coordinating administrative management programs with management officials, customers, and other organizations; overseeing diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility programs for an organization; AND providing supervision and direction to other staff.
