You will serve as a PROGRAM OPERATIONS SUPPORT ASSISTANT (Office Automation) at the Training Squadron TWO-SEVEN (VT-27) onboard Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, TX. Duties

Help
  • You will perform a wide variety of office automation administrative responsibilities including but not limited to various word processing assignments, software and database programs.
  • You will revise/review correspondences and instructions as per a guidance manual. Deliver, pickup, and distribute mail and process incoming and outgoing messages through an automated system.
  • You will serve as the critical link between the military member, the command, and the supporting Personnel Support Detachment.
  • You will create a number of personnel transactions such as gains, extensions, re-enlistment contracts, retirement requests, transfers, separations, etc., in accordance with established guidance.
  • You will request and review documents for accuracy, signatures and needed supporting documentation for military pay and personnel transactions.
  • You will explain entitlements to military members.
  • You will create, review, and generate travel authorization orders for the command utilizing the U.S. Government Travel System.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing a variety of office automation duties (e.g. data input, customer service, data gathering, preparing reports, correspondence, and maintaining files), utilizing various systems and databases to support the corporate/organizational/command mission and goals; Planning, organizing, and prioritizing work to meet deadlines; Typing to produce the full range of office automation work.
