Duties

Help
  • Instructs customers in a variety of Outdoor Recreation programs and activities offered.
  • Works on route setting for climbing wall and challenge courses.
  • Works with individuals and/or groups ensuring safety rules are followed.
  • Customer orientated personality to include communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Has the ability to learn Climbing, Bike Maintenance, Paddling, Ropes Course facilitation, Hiking, Camping and the ability to adapt to an outdoor setting.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED training certification.
  • Failure to successfully completed required training may result in separation.
  • Able and willing to work a varied schedule of hours as needed for trips and other events, to include evenings.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:
-Must have knowledge of and experience in a wide variety of Outdoor Recreation pursuits.

Highly Qualified: Applicants pursuing a degree in Recreation Management, Outdoor Recreation, or a related field, and in the process of completing an internship or fieldwork program will be considered highly qualified.

Best Qualified:
Experience climbing 5.9YDS on top rope.
