Help

As a SUPV IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) (T32), GS-2210-13, you will serve as the chief of an information management division/branch; plan, organize, and direct the activities of the organization, ensuring that the advice and assistance provided complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs; develop goals and objectives that integrate division/branch and overall C4 program objectives; research, interpret, analyze and apply applicable C4 guidelines, policies and objectives; exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities; advise and provide counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management

  • Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Must obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance level.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.

  • This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.

Qualifications

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709", and is open ONLY to ON BOARD excepted permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed within the G6, Florida Army National Guard.

PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.

FLNG BUS Code 8888: This position is "excluded" and ineligible for labor organization representation.

MILITARY GRADES: Warrant Officer/Officer, CW4 - O5

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education or training that has provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions and general management principles that enabled you to understand the stages required to automate a work process. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-13 must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training that approaches techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization. Experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls. Experience that required adaptations of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment. Experience preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies where is involved summarizing the material and organizing it in a logical fashion. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
