Duties

Help
  • Supervises assigned staff; Responsible for the effective management and supervision of employees to include preparation of staff schedules, development and utilization of appropriate training and incentive programs.
  • Responsible for development and execution of department budget.
  • Deals effectively and objectively with subordinates, supervisory and management personnel, guests, union officials, contractors, and other outside contacts.
  • Plans, develops, and implements procedures, policies and programs to ensure timely, consistent, and effective management of housekeeping and laundry services.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of accounting and inventory records, efficient personnel utilization and training, security of property and equipment, and compliance with safety and sanitation requirements.

  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.

  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Incumbent must be available to work shifts that may include days, nights and weekends.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Progressive experience which included supervising, leading, or management oversight of custodial workers/housekeepers in a hotel or similar customer service-based residential or guest facility.
  2. Must possess demonstrated knowledge of business processes required for budget development and management.

Highly Qualified Criteria:
  1. Posses a two-year hospitality related associates degree or possession of a CHHE (Certified Hospitality Housekeeping Executive).
