This position will serve as the Supervisory Chief of the Boulder Security Systems Access Control Group. The position will be responsible for the management of the Emergency Services Office, Security Systems Access Control Group in Boulder Colorado supporting NIST, NOAA, and NTIA. This position is responsible for providing expert technical and administrative knowledge and guidance related to security practices, policies, procedures, and requirements in the performance, operation, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of security systems. Position will be responsible for making decisions regarding current and future security operations, projects, and construction. Employee will provide extensive technical knowledge, and guidance to leadership, customers, and technical support staff in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a campus sized physical access control system and all interrelated security systems to include all hardware and infrastructure inclusive of card readers, related hardware and software, electronic and mechanical locking systems, and video surveillance systems. Supervisor will provide direction and management of additional security offices to include locksmith services and Badging activities. Administrative duties will include the day-to-day supervision of employees, management of work schedules, design and project planning, construction analysis and reviews, physical security assessments, program analysis, project management, supply and resource management, and contract management activities. Additional duties will include but are not limited to the performance or management of day-to-day administrative operations in areas such as personnel actions, resolution of pay issues, resource management, vehicle management, management of time and attendance, and receipt and posting of official mail.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements: ZA-IV: Must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 (ZA-III at NIST) or equivalent grade level as described in the vacancy announcement. Specialized experience is experience operating/maintaining security systems and hardware in an institutional, campus, or federal facility environment. Must have advanced technical knowledge regarding the programming, installation, and integration of HIRSCH/ IDENTIV Physical Access Control Systems and AVIGILON Video Surveillance Systems.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
