About the Position: This is an open continuous announcement. Initial cutoff will be 7 April 2023. Recruitment will continue through the announcement closing date until the position is filled.
As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), GS-0346-5/7/9, you will provide automated logistics Standard Army Management Information System (STAMIS) support to all state/territory activities and organizations and provide technical/functional support and oversight regarding the implementation of STAMIS systems, Automated Logistical Programs and other Combat Service Support (CSS) systems within the state.
Major Duties - This is NOT an all-inclusive list:
Ensure software/interim change packages (SCP/ICP) are applied in proper order.
Analyze requirements, manage and coordinate STAMIS automation hardware systems and peripherals pertaining to the receipt, distribution, installation and replacement of systems.
Install, test and evaluate STAMIS systems hardware.
Determine systemic problems during maintenance of hardware or in the application of software and initiate corrective action as needed.
Coordinate and communicate with the Department of the Army (DA), National Guard Bureau (NGB), and Customer Assistance Office (CAO), Ft Lee, Va. regarding CSS operations and automated systems support, problem resolution, software upgrades and change packages.
Assist functional users in automated CSS systems management and operation.
Serve as a Systems Administrator for all CSS STAMIS systems and automated logistical programs and as a technical expert within the state/ territory is responsible for providing technical and functional guidance for specified STAMIS and Automated Logistical Programs to operators and supervisors.
Provide operator level assistance on STAMIS systems and Automated Logistical Programs.
Utilize an extensive knowledge of logistics programs/operations and a clear understanding of automated systems to manage projects and programs for systems integration of CSS automation.
Troubleshoot STAMIS systems and Automated Logistical Programs
Monitor the state automated CSS system network, determining fault isolation, problem resolution, and performance reporting or coordinates with appropriate office and/or official for resolution.
Server as primary point of contact for logistical automation projects to include fielding of new equipment and improvements/upgrade to existing STAMIS systems and Automated Logistical Programs.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of considerations for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code § 709), will be in the following manner and sequence,

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: MUST possess experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field; experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-9 Level MUST possess at least 24 months experience, education, or training involving detailed knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support (i.e., supply, maintenance, quality assurance, facilities); experience integrating actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to meet program goals; experience interpreting and applying regulations, laws or practices; experience planning and organizing work assignments.GS-7 Level MUST possess at least 12 months experience, education, or training involving knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support; experience integrating actions of support activities to meet program goals; experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to elicit their cooperation to perform specific tasks and comply with regulations, laws or practices. GS-5 Level MUST possess at least 6 months experience, education, or training organizing functions that provide logistical support (i.e., supply, maintenance, quality assurance, facilities, etc.; experience in performing simple, routine and repetitive functions.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
