The Pathways Summer Intern Program provides paid work experiences for students to work in areas such as finance, communications, technology, policy, personnel, and business.

This is a summer 2023 internship position.

These positions are temporary, not to exceed 90 days. This position may be extended or non-competitively converted to a permanent position.

Duties

Help

As a Student Trainee (Program Support), you will be selected to work in the Asset Management and Assistance Center (AMAC). Duties for AMAC include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Working in the Division of Liquidation and Member Services (DLMS) as a Liquidation and Research Clerk
  • Providing a full range of member services, research, and general administrative support to DLMS Staff.
  • Administering mail room processing and services
  • Coordinating with DLMS staff to research lien releases, accounts, property claim/disputes, third party requests, employee benefits, personnel matters, and other member services
  • Preparing documents
  • Responding to member's request
  • Answering members phone calls
  • Performing administrative activities for DLMS staff; and other duties as assigned.

  • Suitable adjudication of background/security investigation is required.
  • Enrolled at least half-time at a qualifying educational institution.
  • Must be in good academic standing.
  • Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher

Qualifications

To qualify for the NCUA Pathways Summer Intern Program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be enrolled at least half-time or accepted as a degree seeking student.
  • Transcripts must show proof of current enrollment in spring 2023 courses and continuing education through either the summer or fall semesters.
  • Must submit unofficial transcripts showing current enrollment in spring 2023 courses at the time of application.
  • Current transcripts much show a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5.
  • If you are a student veteran, submit the required documentation as described in the Required Documents section.
You must meet the education and eligibility requirements for this position by the start date. Official transcripts must be obtained prior to start date in order to verify that education requirements have been met.

Education

CU-04: Completion of two years post-high school education (60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours).

If you are graduating in the spring of 2023, you must receive acceptance into a bachelor's or post-bachelor's program by May 2023 to be eligible for the Pathways Summer Intern Program. In order to participate in the Program, proof of acceptance must be submitted prior to start date.

All education must be accredited by an accrediting body or organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

SALARY: The hourly salary range shown is NCUA's Local Pay Rate (LPR) for Austin, Texas

This position is not eligible for health benefits and life insurance. Students are eligible to earn four hours of annual leave and four hours of sick leave per pay period.

This position is not in the bargaining unit.
