Duties

Help
  • Serves as a sales and account management executive for DFMWR Marketing Branch. Prospects for new clients through a variety of sources and sales leads utilizing the Internet, trade publications, competitive sources and trade shows.
  • Develops proposals and evaluation criteria, and negotiates sponsorship and advertising agreements.
  • Coordinates closely with local level counterparts and officials of other agencies or components to execute agreements.
  • Obtains legal counseling as necessary. Acts as account manager for clients to ensure that benefits are executed and terms of agreement are met.
  • Attends related board, committee, and special event planning meetings. Provides expert advice and assistance that includes training.
  • Makes presentations, writes, and performs public relations duties.

Qualifications

1. Work experience that demonstrates proven ability and experience in sales, negotiations, account management, and client care.
2. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing, and have a working knowledge of the military and MWR community.
A bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, business, or recreation is preferred.

HIGHLY PREFERRED:
Possess at least one (1) year experience utilizing a sales funnel system acquiring business to business or business to customer partnership.
Applicants who meet the Minimum qualifications and Highly Preferred Criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Preferred list.

Education

PREFERRED: A bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, business, or recreation.
Copies of transcripts (official/unofficial) must be submitted at time of application.

Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications. Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
