Duties

Help
  • Responsible for providing expert advice and assistance to authorized clientele on various banquet and catering offerings provided by a Catering Center.
  • Creates, administers and manages event party contracts coordinating event details to catering staff including set up, audio visual, service, culinary, and accounting. Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Incumbent exercises discretion and independent judgment, negotiates menus, services, and set up to prepare contracts that coordinates services typically, but not limited to, food and beverage operations.
  • Requires basic accounting practices to insure payments are received by required timelines. Works to ensure performance goals and measures are accomplished and aligned with leadership direction and operational plans.
  • Assists in establishing immediate and long-range business goals and objectives to meet customer demands and requirements and ensures changes are accomplished optimizing efficiency of operations and maximization of catering facilities.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Work requires extended hours and work on holidays, evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

One year of specialized work experience required that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform
successfully the duties of this position. Must possess exceptional communication and people skills in customer service and problem resolution.

HIGHLY PREFERRED CRITERIA:

2 years specialized work experience in catering, events, entertainment, and hospitality for large groups of people.
Experience with catering management software.
Servsafe Manager Certification.


Applicants who meet the Minimum qualifications & Highly preferred criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly qualified list.
