This position is located at SMMO in Phoenix, Arizona. The primary purpose of the work is to analyze and evaluate maintenance operations, production, and procedures; and make recommendations for improvement. This requires practical knowledge of, and skill in applying, principles, concepts, and methods of surface maintenance equipment, facilities, and service operations.

Military Grades:
Enlisted: PVT/E1 - SGM/CSM/E9
Warrant Officer: WO1/W1 - CW2/W2
Compatible Military Assignments: Must possess at least one of the following: 88, 91, or 92 Series
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience in applying principles, concepts, and methods of equipment, facility, or service operations sufficient in designing projects or planning assignments. Experience using well-established occupational methods and techniques to determine facility, grounds, equipment overhaul, maintenance, restoration, repair needs, etc.
You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies (knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics):
1. Practical knowledge of, and skill in applying, principles, concepts, and methods involving maintenance equipment, facilities, and service operations.
2. Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methods of maintenance management sufficient to provide advice, assistance, and guidance to shop personnel.
3. Knowledge of the full range of maintenance shop standards, policies, regulations, and methods sufficient to analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of maintenance management, repair, and training; and the need for improving existing practices that impact the overall maintenance program.
4. Knowledge of and ability to oversee maintenance management programs, material readiness programs, cost reduction programs, and maintenance shop practices.
5.Ability to facilitate and/or offer classroom training, as needed.
